Drabbles: Jian Dan Ai. (Simple Love)
Pairings: Jaebeom/Jessica. Seungri/Seohyun, Reita/Kai ft. Aoi/Uruha.
01. Super star, shining star. 02. Press. Play. Repeat. 03. No Engrish.
Semi-beta'd. All written on a whim. Sorry my sucky usage of present tense. =______=;;
Super star, shining star. Jaebeom/Jessica.
A/N: I'm unable to write 2PM slash. But I can write het crossover. I think.
Inspired by this prompt. It's really beautiful.
He's taking the easy way out. That's what she thinks when he and JYP announce of his cut from 2PM.
She wonders why he's not strong enough to stand up this time. It's highly unusual of him, with the childish attitude and all. Or maybe he's being a child right now. He's being one by hiding himself away from the pressures that the world is giving him right now.
She ignores his calls. Mostly because she's angry. But she's not really sure about her feelings anymore.
She also has a million of thoughts swirling around inside her head. They're not helping very much, either.
She tries to remember why she liked, or likes, him so much. At first, it was the looks. Definitely the looks. It was the same for him too. He also liked her for the looks that she possessed.
Then their views on each other changed over time. He wasn't self obsessed, he was a hard worker. She wasn't an icy princess, she was a singer trying her best.
She thinks about something else. Like where he's going back to. Home. America. She almost forgot that they both came from the same place. Maybe that's why she could understand him so well. They were both entertainers that still felt like foreigners in the end.
She misses America too. But it's not the only thing she misses now. She thinks of the pink shirt that was too tight on him and the dance he did. She thinks of how his face matched the color of his shirt when she winked at him.
“I like Jessica be-because she's pretty and...and she's a good singer.”
She begins to miss his smile. The little one that always sneaked into his lips whenever she caught him looking at her. He always gave her that smile. Even when they were always so far apart. And now, the distance that had set itself between them had stretched even wider. It's like a gap without a bridge on it.
She puts her foot up on the chair she's sitting on. Then she rests her head on her propped up knees, letting her head take a break from the hectic thoughts and the unspoken feelings. When she closes his eyes, she doesn't think of his smile anymore. She thinks of his eyes instead. They were different than the other eyes she'd seen. They had stars in them.
And she remembers the first time she looked into them. She felt like she had been thrown into his universe. A universe that had the brightest stars in it. A universe where the stars had drew out his dreams, her dreams, and their love that didn't last very long.
Now those stars had lost their brightness and died.
She thinks he's going through the same thing too.
He doesn't know how he feels. He doesn't know if he made the right decision. All he knows is that's he's doing it. He hasn't felt this scared in a long time.
There's a vibration in the side of his jeans. He knows it's his cellphone. He takes a risk and takes it out of his jeans. His impulsive decision won't hurt him. The cameras aren't able to snap a picture of his cellphone screen. They're too far away.
“The least you could do is shine. If not for yourself, then for me. Shine for the both of us when you're in America.”
It's not an “I love you”, but it's close enough. It's all he needs. It's all he ever really needed before.
She holds the cellphone in her hands, trying to get a closer look at the words that say “Message Sent”. She presses her thumbs on the keypad one last time, closing out of it.
“Keep on shining,” she whispers before the cellphone slips out of her hands.
And she feels herself believing in someone for the first time.
Press. Play. Repeat. Seungri/Seohyun.
A/N: I saw this video on a post that my friend posted. Seohyun is so precious. I suck at femslash, so...here.
She's about to press her finger onto a key when he comes into the room.
“Seohyun,” Seungri sits next to her on the bench. Even though he has no clue to what he's doing, he puts his fingers on the keys anyway. Every single time he pushes down, a horrible noise comes from it. It's scattered and frenzied, just like him.
“Oppa, stop it,” she scolds him, but she's still smiling. He stops and returns her smile with one of his.
“Will you teach me then?” he asks. She pretends to think really hard about deciding if she will or not. But they both know what her answer will be.
“Okay,” she nods. “But why don't you ask Taeyang to teach her? He's good at piano. Really good at piano.”
“Well, so are you,” Seungri says. She smiles even bigger and tries to hide it by looking down on the piano. She can still see his face from the corner of her eyes, a sheepish smile playing on his lips.
He takes this chance to sit even closer to her until their sides and their arms mold into each other.
“Besides, I like to work closely with my instructors. Taeyang just doesn't cut it for me,” he says and she laughs at this, thinking that this may be the best compliment she's heard in a while.
“You're stupid,” she says and she takes one of her hands off the piano so that it could glide over his. “Oppa.”
No Engrish. Reita/Kai ft. Aoi/Uruha.
A/N: I don't write jrock very often.
“Do you now how stupid we sound? We can't even pronounce the names of our own songs!” Kai slaps the CD down on the table and Reita just stares at it. The names of their songs, arranged in no particular order, are printed on it.
“I think we sound cute,” Reita tries to make everything seem a little better, even though it isn't. They are making a mockery of themselves and they both know it. The look on Kai's face says so.
“We need to improve,” Kai groans. “But how?”
Reita sits there, trying to come up with something. Then he gets a brilliant idea.
“Oh wait, I know!” he grabs Kai's hands so they can both face each other. “We just have a problem with the 'eru' part! We're always pronouncing it as 'r'!”
“You're right!” Kai looks at Reita, amazed that he hadn't thought about it first. “It's pronounced rrrr...lllla, right? Wow, that's hard to say. That letter sounds weird.”
“I know,” Reita looks at Kai with sympathy. He pats him on the head. “But we have to learn it so we don't sound like retards anymore. Now repeat after me.”
“Okay,” Kai agrees.
“I. Love. You.”
“I. R-Damn it!”
“Just try again and keep on doing it until you get it!”
“Okay. I-I llllove you. Oh, I got it!”
“You got it! Say it again! I. Love. You.”
“I. Love. You.”
They do this over and over again until they are satisfied with themselves. While this continues, Uruha passes by. He hears them and frowns. Aoi comes up behind him and sees the frown that's marking his pretty face.
“What's wrong?” Aoi asks. Uruha shoots him a dirty look.
“Reita and Kai are professing their love for each other over and over again. Do you do that to me? NO,” Uruha turns his head away, not being able to look at Aoi in the face anymore. Aoi is just confused.
“I don't even know why I'm still with you,” Uruha storms out of the kitchen. “Ruki!”
“What?” Aoi rushes after him, wondering what he did wrong.
“I love you!” Kai and Reita say to each other at the same time and smile. They are unaware of the fact that they might be responsible for the break up of two fellow band mates. But they wouldn't care even if they knew.
